Hi, my name’s Alice.
I’m a composer, conductor, singer, artist, arranger, writer and French teacher.
I’m fortunate enough to work with all kinds of musicians and artists spanning contemporary classical music, choral music, musical theatre, theatre, and sound art. My music often has a playful edge to it, and it’s very important to me that listeners and performers feel welcome within it. You can often find me asking audiences contribute to my music with their phones, voices, imaginations, or all three.
I grew up on the lands of the Darug people and those of the Eora Nation in Sydney, Australia, where I have worked with many of our country’s most dynamic ensembles including Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Gondwana Choirs and Ensemble Offspring. I am a three-time finalist in the APRA AMC Art Music Awards in the category of Vocal/Choral work of the year, and was a recipient of funding from both Create NSW the Art Music Fund in 2021 for my upcoming work Heirloom with Rubiks Collective. I am also the vocal arranger and original music director of the musical FANGIRLS, and you may have spotted me in the Netflix documentary Wide Open Sky.
I recently completed a masters in composition with Régis Campo at l'École Normale de Musique de Paris–Alfred Cortot and l'Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin. I currently work between Paris and Gadigal land, Sydney.
You can follow what I’m up to on Instagram, and also on YouTube where I make videos about learning French.

In Until We Gather Again, I aim to paint an honest portrait of a scattered choir who can no longer meet. I wanted to unearth their stories, their experiences, their hopes for themselves and each other. I've aimed to shine light on the bonds that are still holding them together. And by extension, illuminate that which has continued to hold us all together in recent times.
Like everyone, I’ve been affected by the global crisis caused by Covid-19. With much of my work postponed and many of my plans up in the air, you’d think it would be easier to create with all this time at home in self-isolation. However, unfortunately it hasn’t been that simple. I’m creating a lot but the type of work is different to before and centres around healing, safety, and community. I wish you and your loved ones the very best in getting through this.
I’d love to hear from you.
